The Creation of Humanity

13 Jun

To me, the creation of humanity is very similar to the creation of bullshit, the reason being that every theory of how humanity was created and evolved is so fairy tale-like and unrealistic that it is near hilarity, which further proves my point that all questions such as this (how humanity came to be, what created the earth and everything on it, etc.) will never be known by people on earth, and should simply be answered with a simple, “I don’t know.” Let’s look at a couple of the different theories.

First, I will take a look at the scientific point of view. Scientists believe that humanity as we know it evolved from previous forms of life. Taking a step back, we see that science shows  an extreme breakout of reproduction amongst bacterial cells, which created the first form of life, and the rest just happened over evolution. Am I supposed to believe that bacteria eventually formed dinosaurs, who were too weak to survive a big rock hitting the earth, which in turn formed primates, and eventually led to us? Personally, I’d believe that Lindsey Lohan isn’t an alcoholic before I believed in that theory. Sure, cells are magnificent creations, but how the hell could one cell possibly have enough nutrients and energy to form an entire life-form from scratch? For that matter, if bacteria is the root of all life, where did it come from? There is a gap between the big-bang theory (which is as stupid as the show named after it) and the point where bacteria began to get horny with itself. Somehow, this theory has been verified by scientists all over the world, and it makes me cringe to think that we trust these people to make our medicines and such. How is this possibly verifiable? No one has proof, no one knows if it’s true, therefore it should be left as one crazy idea, not put into science textbooks to piss off the Catholics.

That last statement brings me to my other analysis— the creation of humanity, according to Christians. Yes, I know I contradict, and maybe even insult, Christianity a lot, but I do simply because I find many things about it to be a little hard to believe, and the creation of humanity is another. This is the Christian view, summed up into one sentence— a supernatural being (God) appeared out of thin air (if air existed at the time), created the earth with no resources or materials existing, and created a man and a woman in the same way. Christians are probably pissed that I put it that way, but that is the honest truth of how it happened. First of all, even if we assume that the Christian Bible is true, there is no mentioning of how God came to be in existence, or where he came from. Another point— the Bible is supposed to be a recollection of events that Christians witnessed. Well, who was there to watch God do all this? As for my views on the rest of the theory, I will simply say this— it’s your beliefs, and if you want to believe that a magician-like being made everything out of nothing, then it’s none of my business.

There are, of course, other theories on how humanity was created, but no proof or reason back those theories. That is why I like to say, “I don’t know,” because it is the closest to the truth anyone on earth will get. Instead of starting fights and wars over different views, why not just accept the fact that the answer will not be known until the end of life arrives? Whether it’s Jesus sending the sinners to Hell and the “good Christians” to Heaven, or everyone just rotting in the ground, we have no say in what will happen. We, as people, should simply live our lives to the fullest, embracing the uncertainty, and living in the present, not predicting the past and future.
